I got a new grill pan yesterday.
I've seen all these recipes for grilled food popping up, but grilling is not an option in an apartment! So I got a new grill pan yesterday and tested it out making some healthy grilled chicken and veggies to go in a salad. Healthy and yum, go me!

So healthy, right? It was good too. Then we spent 5 hours driving around Tulsa looking at houses. I'm exhausted. Was gonna clean today too. Too bad that didn't happen. So I ate the rest of the chicken cold on salad for dinner, but it didn't fill me up. I needed a sweet. I had some bananas...

This was the most delicious easy thing I have ever made! I heated up about a tablespoon of butter in a small skillet, then broke up a banana and tossed it in. Once it had some color, I took it off the heat and added about an ounce of Parrot Bay Coconut Rum, stirred it around, and poured it over vanilla ice cream. It's a quick and easy bananas Foster. The butter reacted to the ice cream two different ways- where it was really hot and didn't hit much ice cream it melted and turned into a sauce, and where it hit a lot of ice cream it turned crunchy! YUMMY.

That was my day. Here is a picture of Roofus:

Mercury Twilight Nail Polish

I'm bringing the house dress back, baby. Wives of the world, don't be ashamed of craving comfort! There is nothing better than 100% cotton, aged 15 years or so with washing and wearing and butt sitting! Don't let the world tell you that you can't wear a fine garment like this. I just pulled this out of the dryer. Yep, I'm doing laundry. I hate laundry. I love doing my nails though. The only way I managed to get through laundry was with fantastic silver holo nails.

Hologram Effect nail polish by Layla! I've been looking for a silver holo for years, and finally they have one at Ulta. It's pricey, about $15 a bottle, but it's a really great holo effect. I could stare at this all day. This color is named Mercury Twilight. Now, I'm hungry, and Skinny Husband is at work, so I didn't waste time cooking. I've got to forage in the kitchen. Probably going to end up eating soba noodles for dinner.

Intros

Hi, I'm the fat lazy wife. I end up sitting around a lot, and I'm pretty good at writing, so blogging seems like a natural waste of my time to keep me from laundry and vacuuming, my two least favorite things. I spend too much time playing video games, watching movies, and painting my nails, so those things are what I will more than likely blog about, as well as food. I actually like to cook, so I'm not a horrible wife. By blogging about food, hopefully I will realize how much bad stuff I eat, and in a year this might just be the Lazy Wife blog!
